Hey guys I'm new just a question I have swapped my 3 on the tree to 4 on floor but can seem to stop it from starting in reverse. It won't start in drive but will in reverse can anyone help?

You've swapped from a 3spd column shift manual to a 4spd floor shift? Where does drive come into it? Just put your foot on the clutch and you can start in any gear?

Considering "It won't start in drive" I'm guessing we're talking about a column-shift automatic rather than "3 on the tree"?
The inhibitor switch probably just needs adjustment, you should be able to loosen the mounting screws and slide it forward or backward until the starter will only work in Park or Neutral.

Sounds like you have picked up the wrong wires at the inhibitor plug and run them to your ignition switch, you need the green and pink wires for reverse not the two purple ones. You just need to bridge those.
