LH Wiring Diagram

Hi UC mice have eaten my wiring loom, the most damaged one is the loom that goes back to the instrument cluster, will be a huge job to remove so I am thinking of cutting out the damaged section and replacing, wouldn't know where to get a schematic for that loom.

Thanks Howie SLR5000 LH 308

Just post your pics of the damage and questions and we will help. It’s pretty straightforward.

Hi I have the wiring diagram for LH 6cylinder does anyone have the V8 electrical diagram, also am I right assuming when there is a number inserted along the wiring route that the number reflects the wiring gauge?

The 6 & V8 wiring is the same except for the 2 extra spark plug wires. GMH didn't issue a separate diagram for the V8.

You are correct about the number referring to the wire gauge, although I don't believe that GMH did this for the LH diagram.

Iam using the drawing straight from the LH Manual and it does have the a number on all wiring that is not 18Gauge, but thanks for that reassurance as I am about to buy a shit load of 10m wiring in colours and gauges as per the drawing.

I don’t see the gauge of the wiring on the diagram posted above?

I didn't add the wire gauge to the diagrams I did as I don't have any old harnesses to measure up - If someone (someone really bored?) wanted to record the different wire thicknesses and let me know I could add it in...

Hi these are as indicated on my drawing, not sure if its original or been added but if not original has been done very neat as you would expect for an original.

Engine Harness Connector: Yellow (18Gauge) Green (18Gauge) Blue (18Gauge) Red(12Gauge) Purple (16Gauge) Brown (18Gauge)

Battery Cables:  +ve Black (6Gauge)(Red12Gauge) -VE Black(6Gauge) Black(14Gauge)

Lighting Harness Connector: All 18Gauge except Dark Green (14Gauge) Light Green (14Gauge)

Hanra just looked at your drawing again and it does appear that the wire gauge is on there its just when I zoom in its not readable, well not with my eyesight. I need to confirm that the numbers that are inserted into the wire runs are the gauge?  Example

Black Battery is 6 gauge

Blow me down, your right. I can see numbers on the wires when I zoom in.

The only thing that concerns me if these are the Gauge numbers is the fact that the battery cables are only 6gauge which is only 5mm and yet the cables on my car are at least 10mm, so it makes me doubt the numbers. But in saying that apparently 6 gauge will handle 50amps

5mm of wire and 2mm of insulation must be close to what the original was. I have got a NOS Spring Ring in the shed somewhere. I will have a look later this morning when the ice thaws out.
