Gday guys, just looking to see if anyone has used McDonald Bros rear section chassis rails before & how were they?
There are two types, one is a full mandrel bent pair & the others are boxed sections that are welded up to form the rail.
Both perform the same job it's just the mandrel bent ones are more factory looking.
Part number: 11-5000
Any info would be awesome guys,

Cheers, Nig.

Gday mate yeah I haven't been on here in ages, yeah I sold it a few months ago to a bloke in Adelaide. Was a weird feeling watching it go on the truck I must admit.
But at least I have a few spare $$$ to start mucking around on the LH again.

Cheers, Nig

I never looked up the part no.but i gather
you want to install a tri Y configuration
into the rear of your vehicle.they are jigged
to the mm.i do have a parrallel 4link but
thats coming out and going the tri Y but with
Parrallel bars.maybe checkout Jakes NewsuxsLX
thred Custom ICV lx hatch to give you an
idea.

He hasnt been on for awhile though.

Are you going to have this registered bud

Cheers Maz

Don't think it's the same thing mate, the standard tubs & rails are removed, the bottom trailing arm brackets as well, as well as the hump in the boot floor above the spare wheel area. Then the new rails get welded in, cross bar as well that's supplied for the coilovers & a supplied bit of floor that's been formed to go over the crossbar. Then you just knock up a set of tubs & your on your way.

Cheers, Nig

Yeah it might be that but the kit is only $800 for the fabbed up rails & $1300 for the mandrel bent ones.....that there looks like it's worth a hell of a lot more than that. I was told when I ran them you get: rails, crossbar & a rolled up floor section for going over the crossbar. There's no brackets I don't think.

Cheers, Nig.

Its not cheap when you start adding everything
you need..Yeah i think it was 220 for the
mandrel bent ea side and custom was a little extra.

Are you getting rails as in my last pic.

My bushed 4 link moly rods were 895 so
Yours would be a bit cheaper

I have an anti rollbar included thats 500

Those brackets would have to b included
I reckon
