Has anyone got any info on how to fit a vy dash and steering column in a lx at all.
Have seen a few post on here and elsewhere but no one has said anything about how to go about it.

Thanks in advance.

much easier to keep the basics of what the LX had than to chop up a perfectly good VY Holden commo. dash to fit into a Torana ? :)

Have seen both of these post and they don't say anything about what they had to do to make it work.

Maybe it's the universe trying to tell you it's a crap idea and not to befoul a Torana in such a way?

If its because they're too big, send to [email protected] and they will get resized.

it won't happen overnight, but it will happen.

Its your own car, so do what you like with it I say- life is too short to do what other people like, so do whatever floats your boat.

In saying that, seeing a nice torana with a dunnydoor dash would be like seeing someone paint pockadots over the mona lisa in my view. Just my 2c.

Haha firts time I've hear a torana compared to one of the most well known paintings in the world.

Yes it is my car and yes i will do what o want to it. Just look at my lc gtr. It has a skyline engine in it and it was still good enough to take out 2 place for toranafest best lc in show 2015. So my workmanship can't be too bad.

^ Some people like this look but go crazy at anyone thinking of changing the dash.

I'm not a big fan of it but if you're going to go that far, I see nothing wrong with putting in a matching dash, in fact it'd suit the look better.

Likewise, orig. seats and steering wheel with Commo dash would look poxy.

If it were me doing this car conversion, I would adapt the Commy gauges to suit the Torana dash.
