As some may of read the i got stuck today with my ignition jamming up.

Tonight after work i thought i better look deeper into this as it would slip off the gear when cranking then be bound up not being able to move the key.

Once disassembled the problem became very obvious, i had lost a tooth off the plastic gear that attaches to the ignition barrel.

Just thought id put this here for anyone that ends up with the same problem as all our cars are getting some age to them and this is a part i guess few have replaced??

Luckly I had a spare one. But was wondering where I would find one if I didn't. Great idea should be getting some made up unless they are avaliable new?

Looks like RS carry them, but only available as a set (rack, rod & sector shaft)...
