I second that, nice work indeed. I think you've done this before. Enjoy the process.

Thanks everyone, Its nice to have the reassurance of like minded people when your putting in so much time and effort to something most people don't get.

The next job was to start the fit up of the next panel, I took my time and it fitted great.

Now I gotta pull it off blast it up, paint the inside and get it ready to weld it in.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I haven't touched it for a month due the minor house renos swallowing my time but finally got back into it and got a bit more done.

Got the inner all cleaned up and sealed with kbs then fitted back in for final welding.
E8DA783A-5585-44AD-AE41-29EC01A85B6D_zps
Then I screwed the panel in and tacked it in so I could remove the rear window bracing to test the back window fit before final welding.

The bracing worked and I'm happy with the fit up, ready to zap it in.

While this panel and this part of the car is hidden away, I'm very happy to have it fitted in, it has been a major hurdle in the build so far with lots of unknowns and doubt, but pumped with the outcome.

Small bits of progress. Tonight got the fit up of the next panel and then stripped it and hit it with weld through ready to weld in.

Got a bit of spare time and got to weld the seatbelt anchor panel in and lining it off. Not an easy panel to get at to clean up the welds but happy with the outcome.

Then got started gapping up the next piece. Took a long while to get the gaps nice and tight but worth it for the fit.

Now just gotta blast it up and hit it with weld through primer ready to TIG it in

Then for the first time in a long time I was able to fit up the boot and back window, it's slow progress but bit by bit I'm getting there

Also I bought a repro rear boot floor which is on its way. Will be interesting to see the quality and fit.

Tonight stitched in the next layer which is the lower section of the rh rear window. It needed repairs to it first.

That's almost it for the right hand side rear window which is an achievement as the lower section will be replaced in one piece

So now on to the lh lower rear window.

Thanks MAV, it is a lot like that huh. Like a jigsaw there's a lot of standing back staring at it for ages scratching the head trying to work it all out. But that's ok haha
