Just wanted to check some numbers please on a LC that i want to verify before buying. Your help would be gratefully accepted.

Those numbers all check out Dean.

82911CH148068 is an LC GTR completed at the Acacia Ridge VAP on the 19/11/1969.

The body colour is Verdoro Green Met and the interior trim is Sandalwood vinyl.

No engine number recorded.

The car was sold in December 1969 by Dealer 508 - Jenkins Garage, Cootamundra NSW.

thanks for this dave.is there any way that you can confirm the body number to that tag since there is not a third plate on the 1969 lc?

The chassis number, body number and PSN all align with other cars around it for the build time frame so I am confident the numbers for this GTR are all good.

Hi Zane

 

The LC appears on the VIN disc as a GTR completed in Melbourne on 11/3/70. Daytona Bronze Metallic body colour with black vinyl trim.

 

The LJ appears on the VIN disc as a GTR completed in Adelaide on 19/12/72. Dublin Green Metallic body colour with black vinyl trim. The engine number does not appear on the records but would appear to be correct for the original. JL264193 was fitted to a car completed the following day.

 

The Chassis Number of the LJ should end in "A" not "4'.

 

I have had both these cars on my records for many years - can you clarify the Chassis Number of the LJ please? I have BLJ17435A.

Quite cool to get a little bit more info on them to when they were built and at which plant.

 

Sorry the Chassis Number was a typo on my part it does finish in an A and not a 4. I can confirm that the chassis number is BLJ17436A, this is the number both on the tag and stamped into the body of the car.

Hi Neil

 

GTR completed in Adelaide on 20/8/73 - dealer code 260 suggests internal use by GMH. Sable Metallic body colour with Ash interior and Herringbone seat inserts. The tag details are consistent with each other. The engine is not original the the vehicle.

She's inherited it from a deceased estate and thinking of restoring it back to original
