Planning to put a Chev V8 into my LC and I currently have my front K-frame removed for a complete bush replacement etc...

As I'm ordering the bushes from Rare Spares website, I noticed they have 2 sets of Springs to use for a V8.

 

HFR8 Coil Springs Front 6cyl Raised or V8

HFS8 Coil Springs Front 6cyl Standard or V8 Sport Low

 

Now I haven't checked other brands as of yet, so I just wanted to know what have other owners fitted.

 

My current setup has lowered springs (previously fitted by previous owner/s) so I want to keep it low but obviously don't want it to be feeling every bump.

The problem is, I did not measure anything to compare it too before when the previous motor was in it. Whoops.

When did v8 conversion no body wanted to do my v8 lc...ol' skool dude nearby said he'd give me free shims & free check on aligner if did it myself at home

 

Think it was roughly 2" lowered as 6cyl & sprints but cut springs..then when efi 5l/getrage went in it had serious neg camber.

 

On lc gtr I used Pedders 1" raised height basically puts car back to standard 6cyl height.....all measurements were spot-on for gtr specs according to max ellery's & used tape measure to do castor & toe.

Did have hq stubs on though.

 

So standard height would be 1/2-1" lowered.

 

Camber was done bouncing car & eyeballing it.Took a weekend as it takes some time to do...easier without extractors lol.

 

Ol' bugger said got it damn close just took out a shim to allow for my fat ass

Pretty sure I have those lovells in front of
the lc with 6 banger.hfs8 std 6 or v8 lower
and they are pretty stiff
Feel every pebble.could b suited to the v8
more.sits reasonably high with 215/50r13
tires.
