Does the insulator on top of the LJ rear coil spring come out or was it put together at the factory? If it does come out, how do you remove it to re-use?

It is not worthwhile reusing it i n my opinion. Rares makes replacements that fit fine. They are only nylon/plastic.

When I done the rear end in my car there was nothing available so machined some up out of nylon,to get them out drill the "rivet" out

They are made of rubber the same as the original parts.
