Hi,

 

I have the above Stromberg mated on the 253 motor that came out of my Torana and just trying to find out a bit about that model and their applications as I can't seem to find anything on the net.  Cheers Ron

That number does seem to listed in the list in engine thread on this site ?

Those carbies date back to the 50's, could be off anything? P76 had them, so did 308 Bedford trucks if my memory is correct?

Hi guys I have recently bought an LC GTR manifold and carby off an old fella who said he involved it off his origonal car years ago. I belive that there is a 6 did get number to identify these carburetors.im away at work and my poor partner is searching this manifold assembly looking for this number as im hanging out to find out 1 if it's the matching carby for my LC GTR ive been looking for. She has only found a 7 digit number 2377179 in a small circle on the side? Where is the 6 did get number located please?

The number you will be looking for is 23-3041 and it will be stamped on the top of the carby.

Although it's not listed in the Bendix-Stromberg book, I've seen 2 of these on VB Commodore 4.2 V8s.

 

The part number is also very late so it's probably an amended item introduced by GM-H during the VB production run.
