this is the HUGE inlet it had on it

this is the new one purchased/fitted,

and i can't get the existing fuel hose to slip on, even with tad of grease and force

did i buy the wrong size? too big?

(the thread is right, though. guessed that right at least)

or,,

40 yr old fuel rubber hose to blame.

??

here it is next to the ryco z14 fuel filter and size that APPEARS to be the correct diameter for the rubber hose

heaps smaller "nozzle"

any help/thoughts appreciated.

___________

should i of bought this? i smaller? not really by much at all, best i can guage

and would the thread therefore not fit my holley, as is different

5/16" is the stock fuel line size.

And no, the second one will not screw into the holley.

I'd fit the fuel filter before the fuel pump.

I would put the fuel filter between the line off the chassis and the fuel pump.

Then I would get a brass 5/16" to 3/8" straight joiner, and a bit of 3/8" fuel hose, and stick that somewhere between the fuel pump and the carby.
