So bushes were pressed in and everything cleaned, sanded with 80grit with the orbital cleaned again and painted with kbs. I'm a beginner with the spraygun but realy happy with the outcome.Attached File  20170310_185359.jpg   59.97K   15 downloadsAttached File  20170319_082002.jpg   121.68K   17 downloadsAttached File  20170319_165709.jpg   91.56K   16 downloadsAttached File  20170319_165725.jpg   79.04K   17 downloads

Ok, so probably time for an update. After selling house, buying house, renovating house...aaarrggh. I got a new shed out of the deal so worth doing.
As it sits now there's no colour yet, but edging ever closer. I've got a 4th year apprentice panel beater in one evening a week for 3hrs, has been a great help. It does feel like cheating but it's time to move forward not backwards. Pics coming soon. Mick.

Thanks Jeff, just gotta keep plugg'n away. Just put a couple coats of primer on bonnet, boot and passenger front door after work. Was intending on getting that done last night but after prepping it would've ended up rushed, lucky my time is free...

Then some black. Still can't decide if I will do the overspray from body colour or not, it looks so tidy.9055323ce0bab6bb54e17f4cb8562b35.jpgfc73b3ab2e97f9f86df02ab44ab1ee53.jpg3febfab2b96f3c92652e1d9613289d5a.jpg

Need some help with the hole positions for the pins spelling torana on the boot. I've searched around and can't find it.
If someone could point me in the right direction or provide a traceing including key hole and bottom of boot lip it would help me out. Cheers Mick

Need some help with the hole positions for the pins spelling torana on the boot.

Someone in here asked for the same thing, but with the nosecone lettering a couple of years ago. He was close by, so I took a spare one the 100 kays to Bunbury where I met him in town. He seemed like a nice bloke. But I never saw it again. I have helped out dozens of forum members with parts and info over the years, but this fella was the only one to leave me with a bad taste in my mouth.

I would love to help you Mick, as you did a favour for me a while ago, but the only boot lids I have are two LX ones, or the L34 one which doesn't have the badge.

Hey Laurie, all good, I'm sure someone will come through. You've already helped with info by answering numerous questions from other members that I've come across, so thanks anyway.

Sprayed remaining 3 doors with primer the other day, came up really well over repairs. Now I'll be getting lessons on rubbing back properly.8e735f48fd562406aca45798ceb7c08e.jpg9ef92042f6e23cab061b28f0dd2a6851.jpga31329aa6f83793d09750e60e0087de2.jpg

So engine bay and boot are done, looks way to glossy in pics but has calmed down a bit now. I didn't notice all the corners, nooks and crannies until I had to sand these areas, wow...8deb3740e0a13fb0d04cc667a151122c.jpg4d99acf8a558d07c69d7b0537de9e080.jpg

Next was the brake system, reserch followed by practice. Made new lines using old ones as templates, not that difficult really, unless I cocked it up and they leak.3173443185d30b3a5ea9bf73f7edcac0.jpg61eeaf7af00042440bd69402bd2c1215.jpg

So I had a look in my fuel tank recently, thought it might be dry. This car has been off the road for 20+ years.c5f68808bb6cd016f175538faef2fcb6.jpg
