Hi guys. Hope this isnt a silly question. Does anyone know if rear chassis rails out of a UC sedan will fit a LX hatchback? I've just discovered that rear rails in my hatch project are rusted out very badly. I know where there is a UC sedan I might be able to cut up but obviously would like to know if they will fit before I go down that road. From drawings I've seen it looks to me that chassis rails in sedans and hatchbacks are the same but not sure if there's a difference between LX & UC models.Thanks.

The upper mounts will be in a different position, but the rest should be the same.

I think thats what he means

But the mounts are nowhere near the rails so shouldn't be an issue

The floorpan design is different

But I would assume the rails run the same

How much of the rail do you need to do... aroun d the shock tower or just the rear hatch floor pan area ?

Keen to see your work on this...I have to replace the rails on my hatch too (not my car in pic)

Yes, I just mentioned it because when you start removing rusty bits, there is always more rust to remove.
