I understand the full ADR 27a for Toranas was mid 1976.

Someone like the Dr T, or Yel would know for sure if ,74 was full NON ADR27a...but I'd be guessing it was...

7/74 should have an "ALH" chassis number prefix, with ADRs 1,2,3,4A,5A,6,7,8,(9,*)10B,11,12,14,15,16,18,20,21,22,23,24,25,27,28

*ADR 9 automatic vehicles only

This was the first model Torana to get ADR 27 (Vehicle Engine Emission Control) which was introduced 1 JAN 1974

As far as I know the only pollution gear fitted was the charcoal canister/non-vented fuel tank, although maybe they had a PCV valve too, I can't remember?

PCV was introduced in the sixties. My EH just had a "walking stick" vent.

Yes its what people generally refer to as pre-pollution.
One rocker cover is piped to the air cleaner. The other to the carb base.
7/74 doesn't have a charcoal canister.
The fuel tank is vented into the rear wheel arches.
...and the air cleaner preheat system off the exhaust manifold.

The first Torana to get ADR27 was the LJ series (6cyl) in late 1973 (although no 1973 LJ had 27 on the compliance plate) and the last of the 6yl LJ's in 1974.

it's got 27 on the tag

Ok so did we get this resolved for what is applicable to the car .

got a bit lost on what the car needed with the above

g

here is the ADR tag info - the bold is different from the above with the lettering being B or it could be a typo from bigfella

AL H  04576 M

1.2.3.4a.5b.6.7.8.10b.11.12.14.15.16.18.20.21.22.23.24.25.27.28.
