My  car  is  getting  very  close  to  getting  painted  now .

Has  anyone  out  there  got  an  original  panel  of  Yellow  Dolly  paint  i  can  get  matched  ?

I  have  had  a  few  samples  done  by  a  few  different  suppliers  of  paint  and  they  are  all  different .

Any  help  would  be  much  appreciated .

Regards  LC870  .

use the proper dulon codes and PPG AAA dulon if ure using acrylic and you cant go wrong... Been there done that with my Rally Red..

from the Dulon mixing book... at least its a group 1, so not too expensive.. Mine was group 3.. farkin joke in price..

Thing to note that todays paint does not have any lead in it.... Hence why I recomend the PPG Dulon as the have the correct formular..

Dont know about 2pack??????

Tinters have changed a fair bit since the original colours were mixed up don't rely on what you get mixed up. Best bet is to do what you have said get someone that has a sample and get it matched.

I had a lot of disappointment chasing Plum Dinger till I found

Eastern Auto Paints of London Drive Bayswater Vic.  (www.autopaints.com.au)

I had gotten several samples from different paint shops that differed markedly.

The chap at Eastern Auto Paints (ex Bill Patterson Cheeny) has access to the original paint swatches (post card size in individual envelopes) that paint can be exactly matched to.

Two pack tinters are a little different to the old acrylic so eye matching by a professional is the only way to get an original result.

I know you are in SA but I can assure you they will give the very best colour match available.
