Guys i have purchased a new light switch for my LX hatchback i am  building but i need the nut that secures it to the dash and the rod that goes into it (For some reason i have the nob itself for the dash but not the nut to secure it to the dash or the rod that goes into the switch and connects into the nob) I will also need a nut for the wiper switch.

Are these available for purchase anywhere or is it more a case of having to buy them second hand off someone?

Thanks in advance.

Where did you buy a new light switch from?

Off eBay through Rare Spares. Came as a blank switch with no rod in the centre.
And I have misplaced the old rod and switch which was pulled out years ago.

I thought that the rod & the knob were one piece.

Agree, they are manufactured as one.

I thought the same but originally the knob came off the bar on mine. I've managed to borrow one from a guy in the Canberra Torana club who has been really helping me out and he had the bar separate from the switch as well.

The knob and rod is definitely meant to be one. OEM replacement light switches have never ever been supplied with the knob and rod.
