You can adjust the height of the water pump pulley mount with a puller to get it to line up perfectly without shims.

So the mounting face can be pulled forward on the shaft ? Didn’t think of that . Seemed a bit odd to be only out by 2mm , looks like there are only 2 types of V8 water pumps 91.4mm and 108mm for commodore

The GMB pump will work fine, in fact I believe the curvature of the vanes will create a better flow than the original GMH cast impeller.
I remember seeing red 6 pumps with cast impellers that had straight vanes and they worked fine.
