Gday guys.
I bought my car with brake problems. The brakes only grab right near the floor. I put a kit through the pistons, got new rear slaves and a new m/c. Now I looked at the booster and it seems the pushrod is too short by an inch. I think the mc and booster are from a HG or simikiar. Mc part number is p7210. Does anyone have a part number for the booster I need as mines not on it. Has anyway had this problem or have I done something wrong? The booster has rusty fluid in it so has to go anyway. Also need one asap so I can move my car.
Thanks all.

LC and LJ have different length rods from booster to master cylinder, you could have wrong one

also there is a rubber pad inside the booster if this is missing it will cause brake grabbing

Sounds like you have an LJ/HQ type master cyl on an LC booster.

Either purchase a HK,T,G & LC master cyl to suit your booster or have the booster recoed and fitted with the longer LJ pushrod.

the rods can be changed they just slide out of booster, need to get the right 1 for the master cylinder.

but you need to check the rubber pad inside doesn't move when you do it.

as S pack said seems like you have LJ master with LC rod.
