I've been struggling to remove a fan clutch for a 202 on a WB. When you try to undo the nuts holding fan clutch to pulley, the pulley rotates also. Applying tension to fan belt not enough to keep pulley in place.

I've attempted to counter pulley rotation by inserting a screwdriver slipped between bolts but cant apply enough torque and cheap spanner has too much slop and starting to round off nut. Spanner will be upgraded. I'm considering purchasing a Schley Universal pulley holder to make job easier.

11250 OFFSET PULLEY HOLDER – SCHLEY PRODUCTS INC.

Does anyone have experience with removing fan clutch from 202? I can't see a nut on the fan clutch itself, it appears that just removing pulley nuts will decouple it from pulley. How would you approach this?

Easy as, get a good spanner and use a screwdriver between the bolts to stop it spinning. Just those 4 nuts holding it on, lefty loosey righty tighty ;)

These should do the trick and they also come in handy for other jobs.

Just wrap the pulley with some sturdy rag or a strip of old leather before applying the footprints.

For really tight pulleys, I've always used a spanner on one of the four nuts to hold and another to undo.

Then when you get to the last one, the screwdriver trick.

Never had an issue

As above. Sometimes you have to do one back up to get the last one undone with the two spanner trick. It's easy to get undone again since it's been recently cracked open.
