Going to redo my hinge bushes, now i know you can get brass bushes replacements,

do they fit in each door? the plastic ones i pulled out all seemed to be the same size,

does this work for the brass ones?

i'm not replacing the pins, just the bushes.

Hi Dylan,

I did mine (LX) a while ago but bought the kit and refitted bushes (brass) and pins.  All were the same size.  I would think if you are gong to replace the bushes, do the pins at the same time as I think you will find the pins will have worn.  Cheers Ron

I replaced mine the other day. Straight up, the Rare Spares kit doesn't fit!

You have to grind/file approximately 1 mm off each of the brass bush heads so the door hinge fits snug into the U shaped body bracket.

Just fitted a set of Rare Spares bushes and I measured the hinge width with bushes compared to gap it fits and yes its just over 1mm to big to fit but I suspect this may be on purpose as it all needs to be tight with no slop. So lined it up and used a hammer to force the hinge in. There is enough spring in both parts of the hinge for it to fit. Its certainly tight but with hinge on car I can move hinge by hand.
