Hi all,

I am in the process of rebuilding my LC, and would love to get rid of the hoses going over the rocker cover. As many of you know, the LJ XU1's had the hoses down the passenger side of the engine. Did the hoses connect to the passenger side of the lower thermo housing? Any pictures?

I think I tried this many years ago, and got no heat. Any advice. Any LC owners tried to do this and found their heater no longer worked?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi

Here is the standard set up. If you are not using a water heated manifold - top hose on housing goes to top connection on heater box and bottom to bottom.

Cheers

Thanks Bazza. Is that the typical XU1 setup? Does the heater work OK?

The LJ XU-1 doesn't have a water heated inlet manifold and the heater works fine. I don't know if you are using the CD 150s or not, but you could try setting it up without the heated manifold. Someone who has done the conversion might like to add their experience.

Cheers
