That is fantastic stuff Shaun....those cars certainly have long legs in the gearing compared to the lit-lĂșns.

Great camera set up too.

You looked relaxed behind the wheel. It appears to be a well-balanced car. Great stuff! I still lift going into the chase in my Torrie.

Great weather, great video   and kudos also to the course marshalls for letting the run continue despite the escort ? .... i am not trying to knock safety standards at all, and if there was any significant risk then pitting is inevitable,  but it sure is sad when you don't get your full complement of laps....   kudos also to the  drivers for showing enough respect at the scene of the break down to give the marshall's the confidence to go ahead.  On speed difference , were you running a slightly shorter ratio? you seemed to be quicker up the mountain?

Thanks guys good to hear there are a few that like to see the old bangers doing some laps.

Dave sorry mate , you probably heard the old saying never lend your car or wife they both come back Fcuked !

BullitA9x , we did support for the Bathurst 6 hour , heritage touring cars which is known as group A & C .

Daryl both cars ran 3.08 diffs , I used 3.36 a few years ago but over revs going down Conrad , 7500 not good on a stock bottom end . However I got some improvement on the last race using a W box instead of the Close super T 10 I broke in R2 , got to say there is nothing super with the super T10 box.

Glenn ,it's pretty much the same set up since Brock race it 2006 , remember these old girls have to be in the same spec as 1978 / 1979 when they raced , even down to rubber suspension bushes etc . Have counter weighted all four and replaced worn items although I,m getting a little rusty as haven't driven for a long time as have been to the moon and back with issues , health etc so this was the best weekend I,Ve had for a while , a must do again .
