Wanting to start a big fight on what's the best way to go about it. (Not really just some good idea)

So I don't have to spray the whole car.
Just want to the boot roof and bonnet.

A spray gun and an air compressor is the best way

The little bit of acrylic I've painted I've just used my iwata gravity fed gun still, with about a 1.4mm tip, Running about 7/8 needle & 7/8 fan, i don't spray to a particular poundage, just alter the air on the gun to what I'm happy with, most painter's always did that. & use a good quality cutters, I've used 2 pack cutters & a polish like meguires wet look, after letting the new paint settle of the solvents ect for around 1 month, Gary.

Acrylic.. my mrs just uses the Brush in the nail polish bottle to do her nails. Comes up very well. Lol. Maybe just use a big ass brush..
I'll say any good quality gun, needle no bigger than 1.4mm. Psi can depend on the gun used just spray some test panels first to get to where u are happy and as big as possible fan. Over lap 2/3rds to stop tiger strips. Just my opinion.

Been looking at lots of guns and I'm thinking that the way to go for me is the Devilbiss SKG 600 with a 1.4 tip.
There around $200.
Yes, no, maybe?

Devilbiss are a good gun, seems pretty cheap, 1.4mm will be fine, looks to have a big fan & is good for acrylic & 2 pack (non water bourne) I'd go with that, especially @ $200 Gary.

Went and got some price's on paint today gave them my code.
Guess what , they don't have my colour recipe.
Paint code is 567-17774
Was told best bet is to bring in a sample. So thinking inside of my boot lid might be the best bet.
Does anyone know what the paint code for the black and silver was on a 5/77 built car was.
Thanks Victor.

Victor, i believe that you're in melbourne somewhere, go & see Steve @ eastern auto paints, he'll be able to mix your original colours. Best man in the business. Inside the boot lid should look as new theoretically.
