I always tell customers, " do you know how to make a million dollars from restoring old cars,"
Answer: Borrow two million.

The old gregory's service and repair manuals are still by far the easiest to understand and most informative, aside from this forum JMHO.

Steer clear of the Max Ellerys and the majority of the Facebook pages!!!

Just wondering why u dislike the max Ellery manual? It was like my Bible for years. Can't say I noticed anything wrong in the bits I used it for. And it covers v8

I use a range of books, LH service manual, parts manual, Gregories manual, Max Ellerys manual. To me it can't hurt to have them all. Oh and as you have discovered the guys here on this forum are probably better than all these books combined! Photograph everything and if in doubt try and look at another car for reference...

The Gregory's LH/LX and any of the V8 manuals are helpful.
Any mods or repair hints search or post on this site.
