Getting a V8 chevy 350 conversion for my LC...I have ordered a set of lowered springs made for V8 conversion and wanted to know if I should also be buying a different type of shock absorber or just buy the normal set.

I'm referring to the front only for now as rear end will be have a different diff, that is a going to be done later.

I actually do need replacements shocker absorbers as my current ones don't retract when I push them down.

I would assume the regular shock absorbers would be fine to use.

Only reason I have asked this is because I have seen Heavy Duty shockers for the rear only from one certain brand. So I just wanted to know what is the really difference between the two types.

No real difference tbh, moreso just correct length shocker for application.

I used factory 6cyl shocks with pedders 1" raised....car ended up standard height, add grippy radials they'll handle as good as you dare.

Standard height springs with v8 should end up 6cyl lowered height iirc
