So as of Jan 2017 the UPC kits still do not fit properly (no surprises there), but they do sell various parts to make the 330 mm upgrade to decent AP racing / brembo calipers quite easy.

Last time I enquired you can order their kit without the calipers and brackets but include the hoses.

330mm is overkill and the 290 mm kits are easier ...  but the 330 mm AP racing upgrade path on LH torana is

  •  LH-UC hub adaptor and bearings in the stud pattern you want
  •  DBA-040 discs (330mm, 28mm), or similar pattern
  •  16" inch wheels minimum (17s recommended)
  •  Calipers and pads, I went with CP9200-4SOBG and CP9200-5SOBG - they are the replacement for CP5200s, in some ways uglier but they are in my view slightly better quality as a forged with newer tooling (not that this will matter much for a street car). They can be mounted on the front - they just clear the steering arms.
  •  Custom bracket - UPC they can supply one and I don't trust them so got my own made out of 6061T5 ally.

Anyway here are the differences in unsprung weight (kg), excluding bolts, bearings and hoses.  2kg per side extra is worth the extra braking power in my opinion ... and if you went to 2-piece the overall weight might be back to stock.

Stock (per side) - 14 kg

    Disc 8.7
    Hub (incl)
    Backplate 0.5
    Caliper 4.2
    Pads 0.6

UPC (VT Holden caliper) - 18.5 kg

    Disc 9.6
    Hub 3.2
    Caliper 4.5
    Mounting Bracket 0.3
    Pads 0.9

UPC hubs w/ Custom APR and bracket - 16.0 kg

    Disc 9.6
    Hub 3.2
    Caliper 2.4
    Adaptor Bracket 0.4
    Pads 0.4

Cheers

For the Disc, do you mean 040 or 046?

Yes its a 46

You could also use an 019 and not need to buy hubs as they are integral

And as mentioned... get a 5046 and the weight will come down abit

And if your real fancy... alloy hubs will drop it further.

Nice work Lee

No brainer, ap's all day every day.
Almost every brake pad company makes pads in almost all there compounds for ap 5200's so if your pad shape on those new style is the same.
Have used the 5200's for over 15 years, couple of years ago i moved to the 6 piston.
My old 5200's are on another car now.
Great bang for buck.
