HI, Looking at my parts book for WB radiator shroud it clips at the bottom and is screwed at the top of the radiator.  Would fit with the current radiator in the car. This appears to be how the aftermarket ones are made.  The issue I have, is that looking at the shrouds on sale, all seem to have the fixing holes on the sides, and there is no provision for that on the new radiators, nor does it show it on the original one.  Here's a pic of one FYI.  Am I missing something. Cheers Ron

HJ/HZ had fixing holes on the sides, as per the side-bands that radiator uses.
WB uses a totally different radiator, hence different shroud.|
Hope that helps.

Thanks for that.  So all those  ads for HJ/HZ shrouds that include WB aren't correct.  Any idea what a WB one looks like?  I can't seem to see any other variations on the net. Or is there any early model Commodore ones that may suit? Cheers Ron

Yes and yes.
Basically, WB uses Commodore cross flow type radiator.
I can not tell you if both Commodore and WB shrouds are the same due to engine location may be different sorry as I have never tried to interchange them myself.

Thanks again. Your knowledge is invaluable as I was about to buy a shroud, which would not have been correct, but not the first time I have bought a wrong item.LOL  I might wonder down to the local commodore parts man and see what I can sus out.  Cheers Ron

If memory serves, the WB radiator is a bit wider than any of the VB-VS Commodore ones. The shroud is the same style/attachment but I would assume a WB shroud is probably specific to that model.

Thanks again.  I'm just a bit surprised I haven't come across a WB V8 specific shroud.  Maybe they are a bit rarer than I thought.  Should be plenty of WB Statesman with the same shroud?  Cheers Ron

There's a bloke in Adelaide has one for sale on Gumtree. Reckons it is a WB V8 shroud. Looking at the mountings it def suits a WB or Commo crossflow radiator

Another person in SA has a WB V8 radiator for sale.

Thanks for that Dave.  The shroud certainly looks the goods.  Pity he isn't in Melbourne.  I already have a radiator but no shroud and I think it will fail under pressure (haven't run the engine for long periods yet) so that is why I started looking with the view of getting both at once.  Cheers Ron
