Methinks its been centred between the SA and the edge/border of the plate, so technically you could call it centred, but still looks frucked as it is. Screw hole is dodgy also.

Maybe they will look better on the car from a lil further away...

Trouble is the number plate light is in the middle of bar so when the plate is on it looks frOcking ridiculous as it's lined up with the A ang G instead of the 9 and M haha

I reckon it's nothing a media-blast, some careful plasma cutter & TIG work, followed by a whole heap of linishing, and a new coat of paint couldn't fix!

Not Victoria, pretty sure Mexicans only pay a one-off fee for custom plates?

NSW plates are crap as well. Ordered XUI172, which in the preview looked like how it does when typed here but low and behold the I on the actual plate has the top and bottom horizontal bits on it and they look shit.

There is some very fine print on the MyPlates site that says something like "your plates may not look exactly as shown" and yeah, not even close. As if they can't bloody get the graphics the same, money-grubbing government!...okay, rant over.

Feel better now, kept the plates too.

Liz :)

Cut and shut it? I've got mates with yank tanks who have cut their plates down (admittedly, they sit in chrome bumper recesses and stuff which doesn't apply to LH-UC Toranas) and put the ends closer in, because in Vic we can only buy 'H' plates in one aspect ratio.

I have the taller and narrower (USDM/JDM) aspect ratio on my daily, but I can't get that size on the H plate scheme. And we certainly can't get custom combinations... we can't even get rid of the maroon colour!

There's a place i think in Melbourne? They do custom "show" plates etc.

I had one made for my car because they #@$^%& my plate and refused to replace it. frOcking thing was crooked...
Had the new plate made and can't really tell its not legit. Its even reflective like the proper plate.

Probably made by a ricer owner :)

Yep, now that I see them on the car it stands-out out like dog's balls, especially the front plate with the lower screws.

I'd be taking 8BALL's suggestion and see if you can get them remade privately, you shouldn't have to, but such is life.

They should even be able to customise the colours for you (if you wanted the letters to exactly match the rear spoiler for example, and/or a red background), I doubt any copper would ever know the difference?

EDIT: Actually, silver background with body-colour letters would be even better!

I wonder if you paint the screw heads black if that would look slightly better, maybe not quite so obvious about being off-centre. The cut and shut sounds like a possibility too.

Little things like stuff not centred really annoy me too. Stinking rotten government..
