Does anyone know what the standard length front shocks are on a LX hatchback? Should be the same for all lh lx.

Measurements fully extended and full compression if possible?

I am looking into a coil over setup.

Thanks

Can't remember the lengths but I can tell you they are different lengths OEM for 4/6 and 8cylinder...
Maybe consult an old Monroe parts book.

Dont think its worth the hassle doing coil overs unless you are trying to achieve a purpose eg using a common size race spring or even racing car in general.

There is another company making kits now and they have a brace for lower arm, its still not a proper traditional coil over tho, uses the conical shape spring.

Few of us have looked into it extensively.
It is def possible to fit a quality coilover setup and i know of a few cars with them.
Standard front shocks lengths are irelevant as both upper and lower shock mounts require alot of fab work and moving.
The lower mount on arms requirs opening up lowering about an inch then strengthening, this allows for a better more controlled bump stop not just a solid piece of rubber.

Sorry for the late reply mate. Been flat out
The ones that were in my hatch when I brought it are Pedders GSR9033

From the top or end of the rod to the centre of the lower mount is 365mm open

Closed is 255mm
Hope that helps
