anyone know of a good cleaner to soak brake parts in ?

been trying to clean up some brake parts without much success,

tried thinners , brake fluid , acetone and some other stuff (anything I could get my hands on )

found blitz a good cleaner for alloy brake parts but cannot use it on metal or zinc

Believe it or not, but DOT3 brake fluid is the best product I have used to soak brake parts. Works well.

Depends what your trying to clean

Try not to use anything petroleum based... tends to swell up the seals. even when you think its clean... if you can still smell it... it can still affect the seals

I use metho and soak things... but as I say depends what your cleaning
