hi all,does anyone know the total number of lj gtr toranas built.i can find the number of xu1s and the total number of lj,s but nothing on gtr,s.just curious to know.thanks.

By my double count if the VIN disc a number of years ago I came with 3640 LJ GTRs (Adelaide 1398 and Brisbane 2242). They are somewhat rarer than the LC GTRs of which there were 6610 built.

thanks bazza,always wanted to know those numbers.wonder how many are left,i remember as a lad the local wreckers stripping parts then crushing the bodies for scrap price.if only,thanks again.

Surprisingly there are more LJ XU-1s surviving than LJ GTRs. This is despite thetr being almost twice as many LJ GTRs built. I guess people thought that they weren't worth saving?

Finding an unmolested LJ GTR is super rare these days. Most are trying to be an XU-1. I appreciate seeing the few genuine examples that are left.
