That quarter look better than some I have repaired over the years and if the other side is that good I would be cutting them both off inner as well, and the back floor divider if its in good condition,,, them parts are the only things you need to create a four door into a two,, along with doors tags and seats

Cheers gong

Nah those rear quarters were stuffed Gong, rusted out along the bottom edge, and on the inside very crispy with rust. The floor at the rear had grass growing through it.Grabbed the glass ,front seats though.

The bumpers were pretty straight Nicho but needed re chroming,it seems more viable to purchase the Rare Spares items these days rather than re chroming ,it's costly and the quality doesn't seem to be there anymore.

Did ya pinch the chrome trim that runs along the C pillar for two tone?

I'd pay money for those strips...

You obviously dont abide by my rule of "take everything because you never know who might want one"

I would have purchased that whole car if the money was right ($200-300) haha.

Any chance of getting the trims or getting me in contact with someone who can? Obviously if it was 4 hours out of your way then thats way to much effort but if its just down the road......

Thats the plan Maz, not immeidately, frOcking thing hasnt been on the road since the last paint job, but since doing the last respray I have decided it would be cool to go something more original...

And obvously things like those trims you need to plan ahead and just buy them whenever they pop up as when you want them they will likely be scarse.

Was factory that dark green color with a white roof, im not super fond of that color but there are plenty of white roof colors that I do like probably more than the faux four door with blackouts thing I have going now that was cool 10 years ago but im kinda over now.

Cheers.

I have been thinking the same way bud, couple
colors ive chosen will look sorta blandish.

Tas is about 10yrs behind down here lol so i
can still do the blackouts,if i end up going
that way instead of roofy..

Im sure i asked someone little while ago if
the 4dr and 2dr dividers were same.his reply
was they are different,i didnt question him
hence me asking if same

Mate to my knowlege they are.

I may be wrong though. THat section seems identical between 2 and 4 doors, the trim that runs along the drip rail is different but I cant see that particular trim being any different.

Those division trims are different between 2dr and 4dr. The 4dr trims return around into the door opening and have a small CS screw to secure the tab to the body.

So they won't fit a four door?

Option on all except 82211?

The trims from a 2dr are too long for a 4dr.

Different part numbers between 2dr and 4dr.

That simply means that two tone and V.R were not an option on the base 82211 model.

The rear Qtr windows in the 82211 were also different to all other 11 models, but that is another topic.

I'm sure it could be done with a bit of fiddling.

Cheers.

I may have some bomber. My first car was an SL LJ four door that was eventually dismantled and taken to the tip. It could be a few months before I finish sorting the shed though. If I've got some, they're yours.

Cheers,

Warwick
