fuel gauge

hi all need some info on a fuel gauge for my lc torana. I am going to put 4 x 52 mm gauges into the original dash but the fuel gauge seems to be the hard one to match up with any of the gauge sets/ manufactures. have looked on ebay and I believe I need a fuel gauge with ohm reeding of 0 to 30 ohms which don't seem to be many about. I did see vdo gauges out of usawith this reading for prior 1966 gm vehicles not sure if they are ok and by the time you get them hear it cost the nation det.any help or ideas thanks in advance. gary

What I have done in the past is to mount the sender unit that suits the gauge on the original tank unit
