I've got a brad mer ricks system I'm getting fitted soon and just want to make sure it's done properly

I don't have one on the car now, just wondering if it makes much difference to the note

Leave it & try it mate, obviously factory it should have 1.

Leave it as is. It is factory original*, copied from my NOS one. I think there is a pic of the repro and NOS pipe on his website.
Your existing pipe could be LC as they didn't have the resonator.
The system will have the "correct" sound.
As an aside, I know Brad has just taken delivery of the last batches ever to be made, as the factory closed as of 30th June, so if you're in need of a system/section/spare, best get onto it cause they're going out the door as we speak, and once they're gone, there ain't no more!!
* Only alteration that was done was to raise the pipe 1/2" over the front sway bar to stop it hitting as the factory pipes always did.
