While I've been stuffing around with arm rests, here is something I knocked up. Totally adjustable & solid, great spot and easily removed- That's if you still have the slot free. No fixings

Nice, at first I thought it slotted into the ashtray hole.
You could also design one that plugs into the lighter hole with wiring to the phone.
