Hi

The SS will start to go back together next week and i was looking at what people used to put the brake booster and heater fan back onto the car with. When I took the brake booster off it had a black mastic type crap between the back of the booster and the firewall. The heater had some type of foam in places. Its just to seal between parts and firewall I imagine.Any ideas what to use and any tips appreciated

Thanks

I used Bostick black windscreen sealer #5614 for those type of jobs on my LJ.

Doesn't dry out and crumble like traditional mastic sealants.

Hi Brad, Just use something like non hardening b mastic windscreen sealant mate, makes a bit of a mess, but it's water tight & fairly easy to clean up. Should be available at your automotive paint shop in tubes fairly cheap. Gary.
