Yeah thanks Col. Really excited to be buying one of the last Aussie built cars. Getting out of my XU1 hurts a little bit but this makes up for it.

LOL, you're a good guy LJ. I'm tempted to give mine our other V8 since theyre still making those and then I can store the Senator away since there will only be 154 of those made :)

Awesome Zook. I was chatting to a bloke in town the other day with a Redline ute who had fitted a switch to keep the Bi-Modal exhaust open all the time. Try to imagine a sprint car with a standard cam. The way it popped and farted on the over run sounded pretty cool though. Can't wait for mine to get here.

Thanks Gez, 308 and Laurie. It is white Gez and with 410kW it should go alright, right! Deposit went down yesterday so I'm locked in! No, I don't understand the point of a switch that still doesn't give you control over the exhaust. Put pics of yours up when you get it Laurie.
Anyone know if the LSA needs to be run in? I want to take it to Melb in a couple of weeks but don't want to just drone down the highway if I should be varying the load on it for a time.

Dont need a switch just pull the relay and bimodal stays open all the time.

Getting rid of the 'running in' oil is a good idea. And I hear you, they should be run in from the factory and lots of people say 'drive it like you stole it' from the beginning but I'm not convinced. So I've written to the Technical Liason bloke at HSV (he's excellent btw) to get the word from the horses mouth.

LOL, you should hear my AMG then, on the upshift, on the downshift, picking up the throttle! Like someone before me said, the way this thing carries on is proof that the Germans do in fact have a sense of humour.

I don't baby it! Drive it like you stole it (from your wife lol) but dont wring its neck completely!

Gotta bed the bed the rings in!

Interested to know at which service interval Holden would do the first oil change on it.

My VE Maloo's first oil change was at 15000k's!!!

F U C K THAT i thought!!!

I dont care how good these engines are! I got them change it when it had 1500k's on it at the first scheduled service, 3months or 3000k's i think it was ( the service cough bullshit cough where they do NOTHING but look at it & check fluids!!)

Then i took it to the drags ! :D  & only got 13.6 out of it :<_<:

Thanks Trevor. She would never drive a Prius because they're gay. The 30yrs cars have a recalibrated exhaust valve and so make more noise, or you could pull the relay...so they say.
