looks a bit like a front indicator socket. Been a while since I've looked at one but looks familiar

Possibly. It's a soft rubber.

Agree, looks like a lead and contact assy to suit a 1973 LJ front indicator.

The LJ Parts Book lists 2823775 as the Parking and turn signal body assy (suit amber lens)

2823777 is the lead assy to suit.

2823778 & 9 are the amber lenses,

so my guess is your part number is on the rubber boot which is not listed separately, and you indeed have the lead assy as was suggested above. :spoton:

Bought pr of these advertised as nos rear
Lamp Tail light wiring suit HQ while back.

Same as lj or seller didnt know what they
were to suit.i bought them to change rares
wiring on there new indicator lamps
