G day guys had to replace my coil on my 202 as old one was not the best previous owner has installed a electronic ignition scorcher brand so went and seen them and got one of there flame thrower coils.now last owner had joined the pink and yellow wires on the + side half way to the coil under the bonnet after reading some old posts I found people say to bridge the yellow and pink wire at the ignition switch I have two pink wires at the switch is this right ?? A big and small As I have bridged the wires and get 12v at coil but car won't start the starter fires once and that is it should I split the wires under the bonnet or is it ok to leave them as is .thanks in advance for any help

There are 2 pink wires at the ignition switch, but they join together at the IGN1 terminal, so it doesn't matter which one you use.

AFAIK the original wiring harness has the resistor wire & the yellow wire joining at the harness plug in the middle of the firewall, so if yours is like that, it's factory.

Just drop the steering coiumn & bridge the yellow wire with one of the pink wires at the ignition switch. This is the simplest & best way to ensure that you are getting 12V in both run & crank positions.
