Help....my LJ sedan is in for a RWC at the moment & the drums need to be replaced however my mechanic is not able to locate any anywhere. Does anyone know someone that might stock them?

I guess a disc brake conversion isn't a bad thing....I just wasn't expecting to have to fork out the $$$ for it right now

Not sure if you have tried them but you would think someone like Hoppers Stoppers would know.  Cheers Ron

I might have a couple of second hand sets I'll have to check. I have a feeling I chucked the last set I took out to get stub axles. I have 1 more set in my LC but would have to drop them out to check.

Alternatively do you know anyone that may lend you theirs to get the roadworthy then deal with the issue when you have time to source alternatives.  Cheers Ron

Ive finally found my shop manual and says if
a brake drum when machined does not clean
up when machined to a diameter of 9.070 in
it must be replaced.

Cheers maz

"Legally" they shouldn't machine beyond 1/16 (1.5mm)

However,... you can have your shoes rebonded to almost any thickness and radius ground to suit the drums
