Just spent a couple of days installing a set of HSV pod gauges into No 2 Sons SSV. Bloody hell, talk about a head ache. You've got CAN Buses and BUS enables and all manner of electric wizardry.

Give me my old Torry any day of the week !!!!

Hahaha. No 1 Son has a POS Vz Commy that everyone refuses to travel in for fear of catching something. You could leave it in the street with the keys in and no one would take it!!! Do you get the idea that he isnt into cars.

What was there before?
I've recently bought an 07 SSV with the Atari volt & oil pressure gauges & am thinking of upgrading down the track cose I don't like the look of them.

How much were pod setup?

Lol I even have the same air freshener thingy that the previous owner ( a hoon Sheila friend πŸ‘) put in πŸ˜‚

Lol did you do a step by step instructional vid ???

What did you use to enable stuff? Efilive?
Cheers for any info mate!

Yes had the Atari gauges before.

Picked them up from Gumtree for around $300 A bit of mucking around to find the trim around the stereo and gear shift as it is different again from Gumtree.

Followed these instructions.

Will have a good read & see if I'm motivated enough to do it.

Cheers mate

The trouble with later stuff is that after about 15 years things start to go wrong with bits that you can't fix in the shed at home. I had to ring half a dozen wreckers the other day to find a correct starter relay for a VT R8. Nobody keeps parts for them because they were all sent to China as scrap. I wonder how many late model (>1990) cars are sitting around in barns.

Anyway, if you get out of classic cars altogether Gerry, don't stop calling in here. There aren't too many of the old guard left.

You're not wrong there Shiney, 'her indoors has a Vectra that the other week packed a sad with the power steering. Stupid me thought it would be a belt or a pump issue.

Would you believe an Alternator caused it?

I had a scare a while ago when the oil pressure alarm sounded while I was operating my 972 Cat loader. Shut it down straight away and called Westrac who sent out a bloke. Turned out to be a faulty air cleaner sensor???? :wtf:
