Changed from a Bosch coil to MSD blaster 2 coil and my tacho doesn't work.
Would this be coincidental or should I be looking at coil?
Can I wire tacho to pick up off negative on dissy?

The tacho is supposed to pick up off the NEG terminal on the coil.

You may need a Tach Adaptor, but I wouldn't have thought so.

Had the same issue, bought the Taco adaptor recommended, made no difference was told I needed the digital one, bought it still did not work, bought the last one they said would work no problems, had problems. Took it off and the taco works now, buggered if I know what happened but have three types of MSD tach adaptors.

I wouldn't have thought that the blaster coil would do this to you, but I know that the msd 6al-2 isn't compatible with the factory tacho. The tacho reads a coarse signal but the 6al-2 produces a fine signal, perhaps the coil does the same. I took my tacho to the local instrument repair guy and he modified it somehow and everything works fine now.

Might just put a Bosch coil back on it then. Not worth the hassle
