50x is black long grain trim mate same as roebuck in the chrome door trim rectangle area, but smoother looking vinyl

Seat belts are all the same for brisbane lj & black webbing.

Seats will be all long grain vinyl no inserts if it only says 50x

Hi
An "XU1" is a GTR, so yes, but the GTR badges are not fitted.

Cheers

Buckle size in brisbane "does not" change like in the Adelaide cars, so yes big buckle if you prefer to call them that.

The door trim on the red xu1 Dave posted has the smoother "long grain" 50x style black vinyl, as Bazza has stated, the door trim design is the same for "gtr" & "gtr xu1", apart from the "gtr" only has a gtr badge in both door trims, in the gtr xu1 the badge was not there. Gary.

More questions reguarding the trims , I know I have lots . I read some where on here that the ashtrays on a lj is a different size to lc is this correct as my trims don't have these either . Also no carpet on bottom , trying to gather the correct pieces and info to have them retained. Thanks

Yes the LJ ashtrays are larger than the LC item. Also LJ are black plastic and LC are chrome plated diecast alloy.

LC does not have ashtrays in the front door trims, only front occupant ashtray is in centre of dash pad.

AFAIK the LJ ashtrays are the same as HQ.

All GTR & XU1 door trims (LC & LJ) have carpet on bottom of door trims but not on the rear trims.

Stitched up at home or in an auto upholsterers shop to attempt to replicate an XU1 trim.

Wrong vinyl on the trim for a 50x trimmed LJ and looks like the Landcruiser roebuck type vinyl.

The vinyl garnish glued to the top of the door looks like there is a series of dents in the door under the vinyl

Best bet Mal is to chuck your existing trims and order a set from a reputable manufacturer like Winner Products or Dash Original etc.

Agree with Dave on all the above, around $880 for the trims + badges (2), I'd replace the tops to & investigate & repair the dents. Nice to see another "gtr" being restored too ! Gary.

One thing I noticed is the XU-1 trims are puffy, more padding in the centre section of the chrome trim than outside the trim.

My GTR trims are an even padding all over. This maybe bad reproductions but interested if this is a true difference between GTR and XU-1?

Marty, something caught my attention in the photo of your interior. The handbrake cover has a "collar" at the end which looks like it is stitched vinyl. Is this correct for 73 interior as mine has a separate rubber ring slid over the handbrake cover, which had me thinking it was a factory original thing?

The wide black rubber ring is correct for all LC/LJ/TA (excl 4dr with bench seat dash mounted handbrake)
