As S Pack said, the rad support and front apron panels have the larger cutouts for the strengthened '73 ADR bumper irons, and the engine bay photo shows the cut out in the top of the RH guard which was also a '73 ADR instigation. So at least the RH guard has been replaced as well.

Maybe a more detailed study of the ''extra' tags needs to be undertaken to ensure they aren't in fact the original tags, taken off because they didn't support the GTR story.

The rego papers have it as a D, but it is hard to tell.

As far as I'm concerned its not a GTR unless it has the tags to prove it.

I'm not that worried about it being a GTR because if it's just an 'S' l'll have a lot more freedom to do what I want and not have to worry about destroying an original.

The tags he has are off another car, so useless anyway.

I've paid for and have done PPSR checks on the body number of both LC03988D and LC03988B and both numbers come up clean.

I also spoke to REVS and they said that if nothing comes up through these checks then there shouldn't be an issue with the car.

I have also spoken to the RMS and they have told me that it can be re-registered just using the body number and engine number.

Is there any other way I can check that there will be no issues when it comes to registering it again in a few years time?

G/day Matt

LC03988B is the Chassis number and the suffix is a B. Looking at the pics you posted of the chassis number I can understand why it has been recorded on the rego papers as a D however it is most definitely a B for 'Brisbane'.

Cheers

Dave.

Thanks Dave. I have no idea what all the numbers etc mean so I can tell this forum is going to be very handy during the rebuild.
