A number of xu1 with in 12 month of their life received a NL block same as a NP both nasco blocks received XH cam fact
Also with the vin/psn warranty disc for LC.LJ and HQ and the rest about 30% were not sold through that dealer which is recorded on the warranty listing fact

So where are the dates on that Application for Registration that prove what you say is FACT? That document proves nothing other than that LJ XU1 has an NL prefix 202 replacement block instead of the correct NP replacement block.
An NL prefixed block and piston kit (if they existed in 1972) didn't come with a camshaft, crank and rods so all those parts would be fitted by the dealer replacing the engine.
On the other hand for an NL prefixed short motor to aquire an XH camshaft would have required the std 202 camshaft be removed and the XH cam installed after the short motor left NASCO.
Also the main and big end bearings in an NL short motor are incorrect for an XU1 and would have had to be changed to XU1 bearings to maintain the original standard of durability.
