I did a PPSR check on mine, which I think has replaced the REVS check. There was a section that asked what year your car was built and that determines how many digits are required for the VIN. I think VINs changed their numbering system at some point in time.

My PPSR didn't show much though, just that there was no monies owing and couldn't get any other info such as written off etc.

If you Google PPSR Check it should come up.

Cheers,

Liz :)

I did a PPSR check on a Suzuki Swift earlier this year. The PPSR check uses either a 17 character VIN number or a rego number. AFAIK the question about whether the vehicle is pre or post 1989 manufacture cannot be accessed without first entering a 17 character VIN or a rego number.

Got a ppsr report from car history to check any financial restrictions, but had to ring roads and maritime to check if car had ever been stolen or writen off.. has all clear 👍
