HI All,

I'm getting some custom springs made for my LJ.  To do this I need the original ride hight from LJ coupe and LJ GTR.  I believe they had different springs.

I'm after the distance from the centre of the wheel cap to the top of the guard, for both front and rear.

Many thanks for your help

Shaune

Pardon my ignorance, what is an "LJ Coupe"?

LJ 6-cyl Toranas were built as either a 4-door sedan (S or SL) or a 2-door sedan (S or GTR). There was a prototype LC coupe on the drawing board, but it never made it to production, let alone to an LJ version.

Some guys incorrectly use the term coupe to describe a Torana LC/LJ 2-door sedan, so therefore you could wrongly call an LC/LJ GTR a coupe.

This begs the question, if an LJ GTR is a "coupe" what are you asking ?

I have three different measurements two with standard springs 12'' and 13'' , and russet with lowered springs at 11 inches from wheel centre to bottom of the guard lip , the picture of Russet has the boot loaded but will give you an idea .

Dr Terry,

Yes I was referring to a LJ 2-door S ride height front and rear and the LJ GTR / XU1   ride height front and rear.  If you have these details it would be awesome. I could not find them in the Torana shop manual

I understand the S and GTR have different spring lengths therefore different ride heights.

Apologies if the "coupe" threw you.  As a owner of CK XU1 and a  LJ XU1 I'm familiar with the LC/LJ variants.

Many Thanks!

Is the 11' for the front, and 12' for the rear?  Were the measurement spot on 11 & 12 inches?

Cheers!

All measured the same way wheel centre to guard , with the stock springs some do sag over time accounting for the difference..

Off three cars , all the front .

Dumb question maybe, but why are you  getting custom springs made?

You can buy 1" and 2" lowered springs off the shelf as far as I am aware.

I'm looking for the perfect stance and ride hight. We have modified springs to get the hight I'm after. I just need some springs made up to the hight I'm after.

The car will sit super low.

I'm still after standard ride height measurements (not spring heights) if anyone has them. Wheel centre to top of guard.
