Hi all,

I have an LJ running a 253 / trimatic / 3.55 geared banjo on 205/40/17 tyres.

I know there are different coloured gears for the trimatic but I have no idea which one I need.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Go to the rare spares website, there is a calculator on the right hand side to input your vehicle details to determine which gear colour suits.

You also need to know which drive gear you have fitted to the transmission, but trying a few different ones...

If a red (7 tooth) drive gear, the closest driven gear would be a green (21 tooth) - speedo reads 101 @ 100

If a white (8 tooth) drive gear, the closest driven gear would be a yellow (24 tooth) - speedo reads 101 @ 100

Any other coloured drive gears don't have any driven gear options that even come close.
