Did you use any adhesive on the strip fitted to the drivers door?

They don't sit properly with only the clips.

Factory installation was neoprene cement and the clips but I used contact cement instead.

This 1 fits bloody good. I tried to prise it over a bit to check the thickness of the fold at the top of the door skin to compare with the left door & it's not moving very easily at all

They dont seal too well around the divider me
thinks ...looks crap with all the gaps.

Looks like the skin is pushed out abit .

What kind of sealant cant b used to blend in
without making it look worse than it is.

Does anyone make a decent reproduction of these, Not just okay, but quality and the same look & fit as original, while we're going, what about the door & boot rubbers.

Hi Gary,

My outer belts are sitting in there,on both sides, they are both genuine holden and have a spare set,if I need them.
On my Christmas break,I'll fit in the new quater window rubbers and glass I purchased off,Andrew from milton performance many years ago.
Regards John.

Hi John, I'd like a set of genuine gmh door belts too, but i don't know if i will come across a set yet, seems impossible to get them out, without destroying them. If anybody has a genuine set, preferably nos for sale, pm me please, I'm probably interested, also 1/4 Glass window rubbers for the front of the doors, must be gmh rubbers. Gary.

I will take my genuine belt weatherstrips to a Rares store before the end of November and compare them to the RSP strips and report back.

Cheers

Dave.

H'lo, I'm trying to work out what I've got. Don't know much of my cars history before me. Have eye probs & finding it hard to pick the difference, if any, from the previous posted pics. Do the Rare's belt's have GM part numbers on them? Cant do pic's but they're.. 7191450 39-218 M RH & 7191451 39-219 M LH. Jono

Hi Jono

My genuine strips have eg, HOLDEN  7191450 - 28 - 2 on them. Perhaps Tony could see if his RSP strips have any part numbers moulded into them.?

@ a guess Dave, I'm thinking, part number - 28" x 2 items, in the gmh description, or - 2 required.

Must be 2 in pack, even from gmh, because they're different shapes side to side, has to be how it was offered. Gary.

I reckon with the extra numbers Jonno, they have to be either aftermarket or repackaged gmh, can you see a packaged date on the bags ? Gary.

Nah Gary,

One strip has a 2 and the other has a 4. I'm thinking the 2 and the 4 at the end could be the tooling number.

Always packaged and sold as individual items.
