Hi all ,could someone be kind enough to post a pic on how the bonnet plate is attached to the nose panel on a LC ,it's the two small holes towards the front of the plate ,does the plate fit in under the nose cone panel? Those 2 little holes dont affix it Paul.
The round hole you see right of the bonnet
cable latch is where a bolt goes through and
bolts the striker plate nose cone and support tower alltogether,and yes the latch tucks
under the nose cone.

No worries Maz ,thanks for that that's a relief,we had to do some body repairs on the nose cone and was worried it may have been slightly out, what are the two small holes for?

Thanks Col,so it's the three bolts that secure the plate ,any idea what the small two holes that tuck under the nose cone at the very front corners are for? Mine have a tread in them.

Col's second pic shows the answer to your question. Two of the grille upper attaching screws screw into those holes.

Gee i forgot to put what they are for in my
comment.half asleep when posting lol..

Im missing one of them screws,bloody thing
has vibrated out.got to get my wheels balanced.
Shocking at 80 ks...

funny you should say that Maz...the other one on my car is still intact, but appears to have vibrated its way through the grille part ( i.e. head of screw is within the hole size of the hole).

 

Must be the 52nd harmonic at work!   lol

Haha.was only the other day screw dropped
on floor between my legs.thought it was from underdash but was top screw to dash
instrumentation.

Has your other C got those washers Col
